Located in the southeastern part of Morocco, Erg Chebbi is a mesmerizing desert expanse that captures the essence of adventure and tranquility. Nestled near the village of Merzouga, this Sahara Desert region offers a unique blend of stunning landscapes and cultural richness. Whether you’re seeking a thrilling desert adventure or a serene escape, spending two nights in Erg Chebbi Merzouga promises an unforgettable experience.
Itinerary:
Camel Trek “Experience” – 2 nights in Erg Chebbi
This trip begins after a relaxed lunch (depending on when you arrive). The camels will be packed with food, blankets and everything else which we will need. The trek will start right into the desert, where it is completely secluded. The path we take willl lead us to a small oasis right in the middle of the dunes. This is where we willl spend the night.
It will be a magical night when the sky is clear of cover and stars sparkle and shine with intensity. During the first night, there will be a wonderful dinner around a campfire.
In the morning, after having breakfast we will have around 2 hours to
reach our next destination. We will stop for lunch next to a desert tree ‘Tamarist’ for about 1 1/2 hrs. In the shadow of this tree, we will have our lunch. After lunch we head towards the home of a Touareg family with whom you will spend your second
night and share some time with. Next day we take you back to the village after having your breakfast.
*Note, this tour can be done in reverse. The first night is spent with a Touareg family and the second night is spent at the oasis.
Duration: 2 nights
Price includes:
* Rented camel and guide
* Nomad tent with matress and blanket for one night
* 1 night with a Berber nomad family
* Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch
